Psychoeducational Counselling for parents and caregivers

Before starting therapies families need to understand Autism. How they may need to enhance their parenting style to help the child develop. How to talk to their child so language becomes more meaningful for the child. Ideas on creating a home environment that will encourage communication, learning and play. Families learn how to support their child with Autism in the home and community.

Counselling Individuals with Autism

Many persons with Autism now approach us for counselling from a professional It could be part of a group or individually. But it must be the decision of the person with Autism who wants this support.

Screening & Assessment

Our clinical psychologists do the following Screening & Assessments
Developmental Screening Test (DST) – initial screening for young children to find out the possibilities the child may have a developmental disability.

  • INCLEN (Indigenously developed tool for the assessment of Indian children with ASD)
  • CARS II Cchildhood Autism Rating Scale) To screen for Autism in young children
Diagnostic Assessment
  • ISAA (Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism)
  • VSMS (Vineland Social Maturity Scale)
Functional Assessment

Functional Assessment is carried out by special Educators. Student is assessed on different skill areas. Based on which recommendation are made on therapy and education.
